BELLA FUNK

Mirabelle is a Melbourne-based DJ and producer known for her infectious energy and deep love for music that transcends genres. Since 2018, she has been creating unforgettable dancefloor moments, blending 70s and 80s disco funk with deep house, nu-disco, funky house, and early 2000s pop dance anthems. Performing under the alias Bella Funk (formerly DXELLE), her sets fuse nostalgia with fresh, funky, and disco-inspired beats, bringing people together through the universal language of music.

 

Drawing inspiration from early 2000s nu-disco icons like Jamiroquai and Kylie Minogue, Bella’s sound is defined by upbeat funky rhythms, shimmering modern synths, and deep, groovy basslines. Her carefully curated selections feature captivating melodies, nostalgic samples, and reimagined disco classics that create high-energy, feel-good dancefloor moments. Whether crafting hypnotic deep house grooves or electrifying nu-disco sets, her music blends tradition with innovation.

 

Bella has supported major local house acts such as John Course, Sunshine, and Market Memories, and has brought her signature funky sound to Melbourne’s most iconic venues, including Pawn & Co, Dove Club, Lucky Coq, Carlton Club, and New Guernica, as well as beloved bayside spots like The Continental Hotel and Mornington Racecourse, also holding a Saturday night residency at The Deck Frankston. Beyond club venues, she has performed on festival stages like Defected Australasia, where she shared lineups with house music heavyweights Sam Divine, Low Steppa, and Ferreck Dawn.

 

Beyond the club and festival circuit, Bella has performed at prestigious venues like Le Méridien and Cameo Bar at The Ritz-Carlton and curated music for luxury brand events, including David Beckham Fragrances. Her experience also includes both small and large-scale corporate events at AAMI Park and The Plaza Ballroom, where she creates immersive musical experiences. Additionally, she has collaborated with education providers such as Box Hill Institute, working closely with their events team.

 

In September 2024, Bella released her debut dance single, Talk To Me featuring Azuré, marking a new chapter in her journey as a producer. With more original music on the horizon and an unwavering passion for connecting with audiences, Bella Funk continues to evolve, bringing her signature vibrancy to every set.
